An impressive & rare Minton Majolica Pedestal Jardinere, Minton Date Mark of 1871. Custom 48" dia. glass plate available to use as a table. The upper part in the form of a circular deep bowl decorated on the edge with beading above a water lily border banded with shells & beading. The pedestal in the form of 3 conjoined storks above 3 melasines (baby nymphs) with crossed arms & bullrush garlands in their hair & joined by floral swags & continuing to scrolled bases on short shaped feet. The whole decorated all over in naturalistic multicolors in tones of green, pink, blue, & brown. The base marked with the impressed Minton hallmarks. 3 petal clips. 24" dia., 35" h. $18,000
