A French animalier bronze of a seated dog, signed T. Cartier, among the best French animalier artists. On marble plinth base. Warm brown patination. She sits expectantly with a raised paw. Superb chiseling. 6" x 4 1/8" x 9 3/4" plus marble base. Thomas Francis Cartier, 1879-1943, exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Francais, winning the Gold Medal in 1927. Student of Georges Gardet. $2,500
