Napoleon III, c.1860, carved & gilt wood mirror. French. Rococo style with asymmetrical foliage & rosette crest flanked by acanthus leaves.

A handsome shaving mirror. Biedermeier revival, c. 1870-90. Mahogany with satin mahogany, ebonizing and ebony paint; mahogany secondary.

Walnut & walnut veneers. Reeded mirror frame reflects the reeded Corinthian columns of the stand, raised on short, turned feet.
