c. 1750 agateware or scroddleware pottery miniature cradle. Likely Staffordshire. Comingled solid clays unglazed on rockers indicative of this rare form. Favored wedding presents from the late 17th century.

10 late 20th century cups & saucers by Mottahedeh. The pattern is the “Duke of Gloucester”. These were made for Colonial Williamsburg’s special Reserve Collection, copyright 1992. Hand painted & gilded.

Pair of covered vegetable tureens with gilt scalloped edges (minor wear) by Meissen in the scattered flowers or streublumen pattern. Acanthus gilt handles and twist tops. Crossed swords mark. c.1860-90.

A Japanese, Meiji period, porcelain wine ewer. Fans set off the figural reserves. This is the finest & earliest of the “new Kutani”. Marked Kutani & Happiness.

c. 1930s Pottery covered soup tureen in burnt orange glaze by Ben Owen I. The tureen is nearly perfect but the lid has multiple rim losses. “Jugtown Ware”, 1st stamped mark. Provenance: Katharine Reid, retired director of the Cleveland Museum of Art.
