Mid-19th century country farm table, French Canadian from Quebec. Scrubbed pine & painted hardwood base retaining several layers of red paint. Adaptable leaves added at a later date. Raised on square, tapered legs with end stretchers. Angle-cut aprons on the sides. Provenance: Monique Shay, Woodbury, CT, renowned dealer in French Canadian country furniture, 8/2/2008. 72″ long plus two 11.75″ leaves – total length 95.5″.
