Circa 1870 Napoleon III French Tea Caddy. Fine quality with Old Paris Porcelain fittings – 2 tea caddies & a sugar caddy. The box is ebony inlaid with engraved brass, lined in rosewood, the inner dividers of mahogany. The secondary wood is also mahogany. Each porcelain caddy has floral arrays on covers and fronts, shoulders swirling in blue and gilt. One tea caddy neck with old restoration deteriorating. One 4″ line of brass is lacking. Working lock – use with care! Minor nicks & scuffs. 10.5″ x 5.13″ x 6.5″ h.
