George II shepherd’s crook arm chair, circa 1735-50, English. Mahogany. Raised on cabriole front legs with slipper feet. The arms are particularly well developed. Graceful slant to the back with turned, tapered rear legs descending from returns identical to the front returns. Repairs & bumps commensurate with age & use. One front return replaced. Several old repairs where front legs join the frame (visible upside down). In as found fabric. Condition commensurate with age and use.
