Circa 1765-80 George III tall straight front chest of drawers, English. 2 short over 5 long, graduated drawers. Mahogany & mahogany veneers; deal secondary. Raised on original bracket feet with some old repairs. Original bail & rosette pulls. A Country House piece given the large size for use where large staircases could accommodate it & the secondary wood indicates it was not made in London or Edinburgh. Apparently original finish. Condition commensurate with age and use. 43.25″ w., 22.5″ d., 54″ h.
