Circa 1900 or earlier oak Syrah wine barrel, French. Top carved “639, ARLDA”, the tap holes closed. Staved with heavy iron straps. Painted with grapes & “Syrah Cote de Provence, Provence”. The decorative paint is very old but added when the barrel was removed from the winery. 42″ h., 16″ dia.
