Circa 1790 George III bowfront sideboard, English. A stylish example raised on square, tapered legs with spade feet. A lightly contrasting square molding enhances the entire apron line, attractively crossing over the legs. Once with cellarette dividers. Deep drawers flank the long central drawer which has a later silver divider tray inside. Original very well cast ring turned brass pulls – polished often enough over more than 200 years that the central buttons have worn off. Note the deep rear overhang to accommodate fine architectural moldings in an English country house. 62 1/8″ long, 25″ d., 34″ h.
