A Dapple Grey, Stableman & his Spaniel – the stableman having a snack with his dog in a posture awaiting a treat, add great interest. Holt was a multiple Royal Academy medalist, his first at age 24. Provenance: Collection of Dr. John Fryer, Exeter, Chapel Hill & London; purchased in 1984 from the reputable J. Collins & Son of Bideford, Devon.
