The bottom touts the fame of the company with Royal Appointments to the Kings of England, Italy, Belgium, Denmark, Japan, Siam, The Prince of Wales, “Ec Ec”. The painted inlaid tambour openings somewhat stiffened over time, but still functional.

A “Duke of Gloucester” pattern porcelain shell shaped sweetmeat dish, circa 2000, by Mottahedeh. Created in 1992. Hand painted & gilded. Made for Colonial Williamsburg’s special Reserve Collection. Adapted form a c.1770 platter at Colonial Williamsburg that belonged to the Duke.
