Prattware is lead-glazed earthenware produced in English from the 1790s thru much of the 19th century. Creamware body decorated with Roman ruins in the center and repetitive neoclassical border motifs in cream to ochre colors with gilt lines.
Circa 1815 Regency period chiffonier, English. Rosewood with oak secondary wood. Brass upper gallery edge, well turned brass supports for the upper tier and brass grillwork for the double doors finished with a brass molded edge & Bramah lock. Pleated fabric backs the grillwork.
A dynamite Luneville open soup tureen and underplate of the mid-19th century, faience. VP mark. Superb condition.
Minton pattern Well & Tree of Life platter, English, Staffordshire, marked “New Stone” & BB (Best Body), date mark of 1858. Chip on one supporter.
A very rare & fine early 19th century Regency tole shop display piece; a faux coal hod – for candies, fruits, etc. – grape designs overall. Superb, untouched surfaces.
A mid-19th century English imari patterned ironstoned ring footed compote.
German Biedermeier wool hooked carpet, c. 1840-60. Needlepoint. Borders & central medallion of restrained, bold classical motifs.
Pr. Andirons brass & iron, with associated bar. urn finials, herringbone motif in log rests. English, Arts & Crafts period, c. 1880.
A smartly styled pair of andirons, brass, late 19th century, Louis XVI style, torchieres with flame finials.
Romantic still life of flowers and fruit from the late Victorian Grand Tour Period. Although unsigned, this oil on original canvas has two intriguing “R” insignias, on the gold chatelaine and one on the bound book.
