Diminutive American fan back Windsor Side Chair, early 19th century. Walnut. Turned, shaped legs & cross-stretchers with decorative incised ring accent lines. A fine, early example of American furniture ready to continue to be used & enjoyed today. Provenance: early American furniture specialist, Dr. Elizabeth Daniel, Gooseneck Antiques, Chapel Hill, NC, 1970s. Some remnants of an old green stain on the rear of the seat & underneath.
