Circa 1750 early George III period slant front bureau desk. Mahogany, referred to at the time as “Red Walnut,” with oak drawer liners. Original, fine cut-work batwing brass hardware. Original bracket feet, tipped up due to wear over nearly 275 years. The simple interior is refined & useful with two large and four smaller drawers below eight pigeon holes.
