Circa 1800 George III period set of 12 dining chairs, English. Mahogany. A long set of 2 arms & 10 sides made for a fine English Country House. Simply molded & carved shield backs with stop-fluting & quatrefoil lower carving picked up again by the crest rail in delicate notching. Serpentine seats. Raised on square, tapered, fluted (on 3 sides) front legs with shaped spade feet; simple square, tapered rear legs. Molded, shaped arms with carved whorls. Newly reuphostered. Marks & various minor restorations commensurate with over 200 years of age & use.
