Late 18th century Georgian bedside table commode. Lovely serpentine front form with double lift surfaces; square, straight legs; and rear top gallery edge. Floating upper side panels. Well figured mahogany. The lower surface lifts to reveal a painted interior (originally with a structure to house the chamber pot). There is an old, stable crack in the top surface, and old mar at the center front of the lower surface; overall condition with marks, etc. commensurate with age & use. 29.5″ h., 22″ w., 22″ d.
