This spectacular marquetry & line inlaid sofa table has a wooden, baize lined work basket with well fitted center drawer for thread & other sewing accessories. Mahogany secondary, including drawer liners. Surface veneers of burr oak, oak, yew, etc. Old brown leather central writing surface. Double blind sided. Provenance: Dr. John Fryer, London & Chapel Hill. Replaced pulls. Minor inlay repairs. 35 7/8″ x 19 5/8″ x 28.25″ h.
